Waldron said: "I'm excited about returning to Belton to teach tennis to children. I have a great deal of pride in the program we developed here 25 years ago, and I want to help bring tennis in this community back. I'm from Clinton, and we have a lot of tennis history there, but nothing like the tradition here. Belton has always been known for tennis, and they continue to do a great job with the tournaments they run. Great public tennis facilities are available here, especially with the newly rebuilt courts at Leda Poore Park. We plan to complement all that with more players. We've got to start somewhere, so we'll begin with the older children, followed by programs for the younger ones in July. We plan to continue this every Monday and Wednesday night through the fall."

Belton Tennis Association President Hack Clinkscales said: "Chuck has a background of recruiting a lot of children to participate in his clinics, and you can't do this without making it fun. He's working with over 50 kids in Clinton, and I'd love to see us approach those numbers in Belton. He's a great coach and excellent mentor who will teach the children the right way to play the game, work them hard, but be sure they have a lot of fun. We're counting on the community to support Coach Waldron's and our efforts to offer excellent instruction, lots of good exercise and plenty of fun...and grow tennis in Belton!"
