FIRST APPEARED IN THE NATIONAL RANKING WHEN HE WAS FIFTH IN THE SINGLES IN 13 & UNDER. HE WON SEVERAL NATIONAL DOUBLE TITLES.

HE ATTENDED UCLA WHERE HE PLAYED SINGLES & DOUBLES & WAS A TWO-TIME ALL AMERICAN. HE WON THE PACIFIC COAST DOUBLES CHAMPONSHIP IN 1969.

 

HIS TENNIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE:
-FIVE WIMBLEDONS
-NINE U.S. OPENS
-HE WAS RANKED #45 IN THE WORLD IN MEN’S SINGLES IN 1969
-HE REACHED TO ROUND 16 AT THE 1969 U.S. OPEN
-ON THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS OF TENNIS TOUR FROM 1971-1974
-PLAYED ON THE SC SENIOR CUP TEAM AND WON THE NATIONAL USPTR 35 & OVER DOUBLES TEN TIMES
-WON THE SCTA PRO OF THE YEAR IN 1990

ASIDE FROM HIS ACTIONS ON THE COURT, BART HAS BEEN A DIRECTOR OF TENNIS, A COACH FOR THE US WIGHTMAN CUP TEAM, AND HAS BEEN INVOLVED WITH THE SCTA FOR MANY YEARS. HE HAS BEEN INDUCTED INTO SEVERAL HALL OF FAME INCLUDEING HOOVER HIGH SCHOOL, SAN DIEGO SPORTS, & UCLA.
